You know, the best & the strange most thing about inspiration –

It can come from any nook or corner. Sometimes when you are least attentive. Remember those short two liner Dohas from Hindi literature classes during school days? Back then, I mugged them (like so many others) to pass my exams. Today, I spend hours researching them for my Corporate Events because of the sheer brevity of inspiration contained in them. Below is the first part i.e. 6 out of 12 of my favorite most inspirational Dohas by Sant Kabir ji. Every 2 liner is a powerhouse of inspiration in the form of Spirituality, mysticism, habits, daily life, education, human behavior etc.

Becoming a better English Speaker is like driving a car or cooking peas pulao at home. Remember the first time you tried doing those? The car acted like a teenager (The gear- the clutch mis co-ordinated while the car almost bounced making a funny noise and maybe stopped). The pulao probably became a khichdi!

I made one of my most entertaining Events for Youth & College students on learning English; completely by chance!

Was experimenting with a few Bollywood videos & English words combined. And there I had! Bollycabulary i.e Bollywood + Vocabulary. Trust me, it is more fun & value additive than it sounds. I make sure my audience goes back with 100 forever memorized words in 100 minutes! People buy & learn from a point of emotional contact & what better than Munni’s, Sheila’s, Cricket, Advertisements etc to learn from.

The abbreviations IIMs, XLRI, FMS, MDI etc have hyper fascinated many a graduate in India. Because junta knows that prospective mother-in-laws salivate at such keywords :). This post is a glimpse of the inside of one of the most hallowed portals of management education in India, IIM Lucknow. It has been written by Wamika Mimani. Year 2012 , I was invited by St Xaviers College Kolkata to address the students during their Fest – INSIGNIA. I met Wamika post one of my events as a Motivational Speaker and I instantly saw a spark in her. A smart, bubbly, self inspired and confident girl, I have seen her emerge excellent at whatever she takes up. Here she agreed to share her lessons from business school – after her 2 yr stint at Lucknow – much to my delight!  Read More

‘It is a baby Boy’ – my mother told me 9+ yrs back on phone. I was in Mumbai then & I just jumped ran to catch the next flight home (Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh). It was 50 parts joy & 50 parts fear of the unknown (Because like with my new phone; I did not get an instructions manual along with the child). I have been a parent for the almost 10 years now. Nothing & no one can prepare you for an awesome parenthood. There are no courses. Only lessons learned from your own mistakes. No one else’s.

Motivational Blogs

How to convert your content into popular blogs ?

My Learnings :-

  • Majority of these Blogs come from my personal experience. And from the collective experiences of the people (youth) who write to me about their concerns and problems on my Social Media. If you wish to become a very good blogger on self-help, you do not need to read or write more. You need to begin to LIVE MORE. And understand India and Indian ways more deeply.
  • Start writing about what fascinates you and not merely about what is likely to become popular. No point writing what someone else could have written. Write as if your audience is very smart and as if your readers have very little time. This will infuse brevity and creativity into your blog writings.
  • Writing helps one in so many other ways too e.g. it helps me clarify my own mind. When I blog about things, I thought I was very sure about' I realize how unsure I am in reality. Having such a clear mind is a super power in these hyper distracted times.
  • My blogs are primarily on Self-help. But a few of my blogs on Relationships, Leadership, Time management, Communication skills, English Grammar & Vocabulary had 2 million plus unique views. Most Popular Blogs
  • After blogging for some 10 years continuously I took a small break. Now I do not intend to write long form content. Just micro-blogs on self-help. Also, motivational blogs in Hindi too.
  • HERE is my detailed write up on ‘How to start a Blog and make it very popular’.
