My take away from his statement:-  ‘Anything that is very exciting has a very high risk-reward ratio of it turning out to be a disappointment’. Boring is the NEW Sexy.  Read More

There is no shortage of motivational speakers in the world.

There is a severe shortage of the ones actually worth your time.

23+ years on stage as one among the top Motivational Speakers in India for corporate events and youth audiences – 1500+ events across India and Asia – means watching, studying, and honestly stealing smartly from the best in the game.

This is an honest list of the top 10 motivational speakers in the world. Not a copy-paste from some SEO blog. This comes from nearly two decades in the same profession, and some very strong opinions to go with it.

Ranking the top 10 motivational speakers in the world isn’t a science – but nearly 20 years of sharing stages, studying styles, and sitting in audiences makes for a fairly informed opinion.

How did this list start? Year 2015. One September evening, totally zonked and bored from 100+ events that year and daily flights, a contest went up on social media: Motivate the Motivational Speaker. Some entries were genuinely surprising – original, creative, a few even turned into friendships. That evening sent things down a rabbit hole of revisiting the speakers who shaped this craft over the years – their content, their stories, their style of communication. It’s hard not to become a fanboy.

These are some of the most powerful courage stories out there – real life stories of courage, not the movie-type or the textbook-type.
The kind that make you put your phone down for a second and just think.

Courage gets talked about a lot on stage and in speeches.
But real courage rarely looks like a speech. It looks like ordinary people making one brave choice, quietly, when nobody’s watching closely enough to call it brave.

This post rounds up some of the best examples of courage – courage of all kinds, all real, all documented.

Every time I log on to Facebook or Instagram, I am a little saddened by the large amount of insecurities at display. One of the issues that a lot of young people grapple with, and I have been frequently asked about is – body image issues. Body shaming has become a commonly accepted norm these days – and there is no dearth of both – the guilty and the victim. Too many people struggle with overcoming body image issues- height, complexion, nose, hair, proportion, voice and many else. As a motivational speaker, I write this an attempt to steal the thunder from vanity in the name of body shaming because of genetics and bring some real clarity on the real things that really matter.

Recently my newsfeed on Twitter, FB and other places suddenly is full of Modis, Rahuls & Kejris. And it is kind of becoming quite boring. Sick and even obnoxious too at times.

The shocker is that a Punjabi guy who himself is not able to govern even basics elements of his own life has a huge opinion about Governments in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, India and even USA. And that does not stop here. He then vehemently defends his favorite leader everywhere. Fights around to prove that what he thinks is right. Clear cut problem of erroneous priority settings and hyper-drugged mind about his idol (political party). Lots of free time and mind too. Read More

Motivational Blogs

How to convert your content into popular blogs ?

My Learnings :-

  • Majority of these Blogs come from my personal experience. And from the collective experiences of the people (youth) who write to me about their concerns and problems on my Social Media. If you wish to become a very good blogger on self-help, you do not need to read or write more. You need to begin to LIVE MORE. And understand India and Indian ways more deeply.
  • Start writing about what fascinates you and not merely about what is likely to become popular. No point writing what someone else could have written. Write as if your audience is very smart and as if your readers have very little time. This will infuse brevity and creativity into your blog writings.
  • Writing helps one in so many other ways too e.g. it helps me clarify my own mind. When I blog about things, I thought I was very sure about' I realize how unsure I am in reality. Having such a clear mind is a super power in these hyper distracted times.
  • My blogs are primarily on Self-help. But a few of my blogs on Relationships, Leadership, Time management, Communication skills, English Grammar & Vocabulary had 2 million plus unique views. Most Popular Blogs
  • After blogging for some 10 years continuously I took a small break. Now I do not intend to write long form content. Just micro-blogs on self-help. Also, motivational blogs in Hindi too.
  • HERE is my detailed write up on ‘How to start a Blog and make it very popular’.
