Four Motivational Videos to Super-Charge Your Confidence
Ever since I started my journey as a Motivational Speaker and a Corporate Trainer, videos have been an indispensable tool for me. I might say a 1000 words but still can’t do what motivational videos can do. These are stories, woven into images and motion. They talk of success and failure and life, in a way that makes the viewer believe, that their lives are truly meant for bigger and better things.
Stories exist everywhere. Look at yourself. Your life in itself is a story that has the potential to make a great movie (if you so decide to). At least better than the crap which Bollywood churns out these days!
Storytelling is the easiest form of sharing and reaffirming knowledge. History is nothing but stories. Art is nothing but stories. In fact, we live our lives through short and long stories. That’s why I am putting together, three of my most favourite kickass motivational stories hoping to shake you up fully with them. They have inspired me unfailingly, whenever I have needed.
Have you ever asked yourself, “Am I Wasting my youth”? If not, then you are probably not asking yourself the right questions. It is actually quite easy to know. Ask yourself – ‘Are you doing the MOST important things; that you could be doing or are you wallowing in moods, temptations and distractions’? (more…)
Who are your Advisers? Who do you take advice from? How good, average, adhoc or top notch those people are?
The quality of the people you take advice from will determine the quality of returns in your life.
How many of you have studied motivational theories and thought they are useless?
Motivation theories are the one of the first things you will study in management programs; the very first semester. A very fat and not very appealing book would be prescribed to you for the subject ‘Organization Behavior’. That’s a lot of research but very few will make you sit & think – Now! How do I apply them? That too, when for most of the students, an HR subject is like a filler, a soft subject for which you write anything and everything, stories and anecdotes in the exam and just pass to fulfil the course requirement. And students will conveniently forget these theories, till the time they reach their workplaces after their placements and find that in the field, in the real world – they are quite important!
Just a few years back I was regularly finding myself stuck in mediocrity, boredom & confusions. Relationships & people issues were chaining me & stopping me from living 100%. I took a few strong decisions & those decisions helped me drop the unnecessary baggage & fly higher & higher. It is a much lighter and beautiful life now. It is ‘pay back’ time now.
