We learn so many ‘just not so useful’ subjects & lessons in our schools and colleges. Unfortunately, the ones which matter the most are not taught there. We learn some of those through experiences and sometimes those experiences only become a ‘painful eye opener’. Marriages are failing these days at the rate of the frequency of advertisements between cricket matches.
One would be extremely lucky in one’s life if one finds a best friend who has an extremely rich mind of his own.
For there are some perspectives which your parents, your spouse, your duniyaadari friends , not even YOU YOURSELF (with all the might of your vainglorious ego)- CAN NEVER EVER GIVE to yourself. Only that friend can.
One of the most important skills you could learn in life is to negotiate, be it work or otherwise. Great problem solving and negotiation skills can not not only get you out of tricky problems but also help build better relationships, both professional and personal. Let me tell you if you didn’t already know – that would be the worst reason to get committed to someone. Simply dating because you want to fit in should be declared a crime in the land of crazy young people! It is like going to toilet at a specified time (e.g. 11 am) with or without the need.
