Vocab Dhaba- Season 1, All Episodes & Videos

Welcome to Vocab Dhaba – the craziest Dhaba on YouTube ( & Internet). At this Dhaba; we present ENGLISH with Desi Tadka in a crazy, funny & in a Bollywood way. Dhaba has been there on FB since 2011. But the idea of converting the crazy content into Videos happened in May 2020. The first couple of months of Corona Virus Lock-down were really stressful. We at home really wanted to divert our minds. So, we bought the equipment, shot the videos, edited them at our hometown (Dharamsala, H.P.) & uploaded the videos every 2-3 days. These were 30 days of not only sheer fun but pure focus as well.

From where did the Idea come:- As i was teaching Atharv (my 14 yr old) at home- ‘Vocabulary, Grammar & Communication’; an idea struck me – ‘Why do i not do it to every other child who needs THIS’. So, we decided to simplify and SHARE with all.

I still do not believe that almost all of us have sang / danced to 180+ Vocabulary words in these 10 episodes of Season 1. The bonus: the bonding between all of us (Atharv, Ritika, Arya & myself) while doing all this; got reinforced like never before.

All smiles at the end of it :). Like stewards (waiters of a Dhaba) we have tried serving everyone who is genuinely hungry about Vocabulary but is stuck on the ENGLISH VOCABULARY highway. Bollywood, Hollywood, SONGS, Advertisements, Cricket… we have drooped down to all possible extents to get the ‘Word Connect’ right for you. ‘No preaching, no Gyaan, no Fundas – Just sheer Desi, fun-learning. Hope you really have enjoyed our effort.

The level of difficulty of Vocabulary words (inside the 10 videos) is difficult. But at the same time, each of these words is a high frequency word. You will regularly find these words getting used by anchors of English news channels, in the newspapers, in the novels & importantly in marquee competitive exams too. I have explained the usage of these words (in a sentence) too. Also have provided some really cool memory keys (word connects) so that you never forget the meanings of these words.

A lot of credit goes to my friends (30 of them, I call them Rockstars) who were the original chefs of ‘Akash ka Vocab Dhaba’ during 2011-2015. These friends of mine are 100 times more talented than me, any day. The FB Page – Akash ka Vocab Dhaba (which now has 70,000+ LIKES) is all because of their effort.
