The Biggest Lesson of my Life that I picked up during my growing up years:

Life is led forward but understood backwards. A lot of times; when we rightly begin to understand a particular aspect of life- we outgrow that need. To live life well – one needs to understand life well. It is not a rocket science. You can get most formulae correct by just looking at the lives of so many people in your life- your parents, your relatives, your friends, your classmates, your boss…

Have been regularly writing down few of my lessons out of having made mistakes. This is the first one :-

GO OUT & MAKE MISTAKES :-

One reason, because of which one can make self ‘BIG’ early in life is— The more, the early & the extra exposure towards making ‘people’ mistakes. It is important to travel. By travel – I mean actual travel + also exposing the self to the world; making mistakes, over doing things while impressing people etc.

(Read: Why is it Important to Travel in Life)

It is so much more important to observe the lives of people around than to just observe the opposite sex around you. Be available to life, feel overdone, foolish, melodramatic, idiotic. Have all weird and stupid experiences. BUT -Connect the experiences!!! They will make life a better album of memories.

If I were not travelling as a Motivational Speaker / not very consciously observing patterns in the lives of people biggest-lesson-of-my-life-blogaround – I would be such dead! When we travel, when we meet more people – we create ‘Better reference points’ in life. I get so many ideas about – how a particular thing in life is being done better by another person. Having moved out of my home many years back; I have two lessons :-

  • There are many many people smarter than me &
  • I must meet them more…I can then measure myself.

biggest-lesson-of-my-life-make-mistakesSomeone beautifully said – ”The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”…I regularly meet a lot of youth- which sounds so confused. I tell them – ‘you are on the track. Clarity follows confusion only. Get out & make mistakes. It is OK.’ While you make mistakes & learn in retrospect; make sure that you are not getting into the habit of making similar mistakes. Do variety mistakes!

This blog has a second part, the second most important lessons of my life: The Biggest Lesson of my Life Part II)

I want to say – don’t be afraid to live, just because you are afraid of making a mistake. There will always be 10 fears when doing the unknown. And 10 reasons why you may fail. But until you never try, you will never know how to figure out the ways to succeed in the face of adversities.

Just go – win the world over with your experiences, which come to you after your mistakes.
