First two months of 2012: my work got me to ‘make a difference’ to some 20,000+ lives. February has not got over yet & I feel I am already done with 2/3rd of the country. I feel glad to have carried out my ‘Happy Energy messages’ across 18 states of India at some 35+ Events / Corporate Trainings / TED talk / India’s top College fests etc in the last 2 months.

There is a tremendous satisfaction of having touched thousands of lives meaningfully with some crazy events & trainings.

The last two months just could not have been this much gratifying had I been doing ANYTHING ELSE than ‘what I do’. Leaves me with an understanding that — ‘People should try to become what they already ARE; rather than — ‘What they wish to BE’. It will be then become ‘EASY’ to achieve. I studied ‘Fashion’ from India’s best Fashion School; but I am practicing in the ‘Passion’ industry. Trust me — it doesn’t matter- ‘what the hell do you study’. Your IDEA matters. A confident person’s qualifications do not matter.

My plans work & I am able to carry myself with a passionate smile; even during the peak work conditions. The further reasons:-

1)           I still have not lost on my ‘Ability to feel Rested’ post intense work hours. I have realized that it is so important to ‘Recover Deeply’ after an engaging period / day at work. Good food, an extra hour of sleep, meditation, disciplined exercising, minimum Mobile phone & ‘ONLY’ utility internet helps.

2)           I do not try to do everything myself. I have a team — a set of maverick & lovely friends who make my life ‘so easy’ with their contributions. Do not try to do ‘Micro’; as the results can never be ‘Macro’ then. I have decided to not to ‘Control everything in life’. It is so important to ‘Enjoy the moments’; too…

This is my world of ‘Kaam-Sutra’ & I find myself in the most comforting positions in life because of the above.

For those who are still struggling to get their answers:-

‘Tasveer to aapke bhi zehan(mind) mein hogi koi naa koi …

Sketch Banaate rahiye — aek din portrait ban jaayegi’ …

A sexy life awaits you. Go & grab it. Do not compromise. You are the ‘ONLY’ thing you have 🙂

Much Love,

Akash Gautam

“People should try to become what they already are rather then what they wish to be ” i didnt get u sir if i dont wish to be what i want to then how will i be able to get to my goal….for instance i was very good in acting ,dancing entertaining people ,i was always a good entertainer …but i wanted to be an engineer coz i know then uncertainty of the entertaining field …….if i would have being under the myth that i can do just one thing in my life ……my growth ,ability to find new aims and get them through would have ceased ………..i believe our self belief could make us do anything …..to be very pragmatic its a rare chance that we get a bridge between our profession and talents…..m an engineer now and to a certain limit much satisfied……… 🙂

      Hi Apurv !!

I have always believed in the lines, ‘Be the BEST in my world; and you have me at a premium.’ Being ‘v good’ is just not enough.

The uncertainty in any industry exists for only the ‘not BEST’ people. You succeeded in engineering because may be u were the best in what you did. Had you put your BEST in being the BEST entertainer, I am sure you would have been one.

Yes you are right when you say, ‘we can do anything’. But why do things that you don’t need to do. I am glad you are a ‘happy and satisfied engineer’ (a rare species). The gap between the profession and talent is nothing but the ‘walk of courage’

      Best Wishes
      Akash Gautam

yeah thanks for answer this question always haunts me ……but i have a doubt that if
u wanted to become THIS what u are now ….then y did u join NIFT ..y fashion industry ,were u confused or u were unaware of your talent..and BEST is a relative term ….its always u get better then someone …coz there is someone better then us …..u see, i feel its a race around a circle where u better ….Being BEST is NOTHING …its just being BETTER…..m sry if u think m a pessimist..just being practical and whtever i have experienced in lyf 😛

    Sir,
I have a problem of thinking a lot, specially in matters of personal problems. Even if i try to deviate my mind from them, sometimes i ‘m successful in cheering up myself, but it often and then cums and hurts me and takes away all my positivism and leaves me irritated and heartbroken! what should i do to mitigate my clinging nature?

    • Sujaya

see dear, there’s no point thinking a lot in life….. because if you’ll keep thinking like this only, it is obvious that that your whole life will get swayed away merely by your thoughts and not by your actions…so just take things at face value and enjoy life!!!
